Hello.  My name is Raffi Balian and I love taking pictures of interesting things.  I started photography Spring 2003, after being teased at my work place about not owning a TV (this was all in good fun).  I went to Best Buy to purchase a TV because they were adverting 2 years no interest.  After I purchased my monster of a TV, the Sales Rep told me I could put anything else on the 2 years no interest, to make a long story short, he talked me into buying a Nikon N65 outfit.  At the same time I took a Photography Class at the Milwaukee Rec Department.  Well, after my first roll of film, I was hooked.

Many of my pictures are unique, none of which have been altered in Photoshop.  I like to take my camera to places many people would not.   I like to take pictures of things no else takes pictures of.  This site is changing, irregular, and continuous, always trying to reflect a somewhat different perspective on the day-to-day life, trying to concentrate on the small observations and the things between the lines, sharing them with whoever is interested in finding out about them.  Maybe you'll like what you see.  Maybe you won't.  Maybe you'll be inspired.  Enjoy.
